Country Living Garden 2015
We were approached by Country Living magazine to create a spring garden for their spring fair at the N1 Business Centre. The space had to be viewed from all sides as well as providing a chill space for visitors and demonstrations. Myrtle our VW camper got a huge reaction as well as providing an original stage for guest speakers! Since the garden was staged in March, it was no mean feat ensuring all our plants were in flower so early in the year and we even managed to have spring blossom on our pear trees together with summer vegetables, including aubergines, chillies, lettuce and carrots! (Our thanks to Suttons Seeds)
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside…Country Living 2016
2016 saw us return to the N1 Business Centre to create yet another exciting garden for Country Living mag. We were asked to come up with a unique design that would encompass an area celebrity chefs and key speakers could carry out cookery demos, as well as offering relaxation areas for visitors. What could be more fun that a seaside garden with pretty pastel beach huts and coastal plants that evoke all the fun of the seaside? An ice-cream vendor hosted a bewildering array of culinary talent, surrounded by crabbing nets, a dinghy, lobster pot and salt-sprayed shingle.
BES Chelsea Flower Show 2017
Approached by the British Ecological Society, we were consulted about creating a garden for a science exhibit at the Chelsea Flower Show showcasing plants for shady places. The plants chosen had to reflect scientific properties. We replicated a London basement at ground level – no easy task without excavation. With exotic plants imported from Thailand that were iridescent under dark and a stunning array of gorgeous shade-loving plants that look like they love sunshine! A record reaction for BES from members of the public and celebrities alike.
